Overview: As a Senior Competitive Intelligence Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring we, as Sonova, have a comprehensive, timely understanding of the dynamics in the market today to be in the best position to be able to anticipate what is happening tomorrow. You will play an active role in strategic projects for the Hearing Instrument Business, providing guidance from a perspective on the competitive environment. What you’ll do:
* Sparring partner of the global Hearing Instrutments marketing, sales and R&D teams, shaping strategic brand & pipeline decisions based on the perspective of market trends and competitive dynamics
* Continuous monitoring of competitive activities on a manufacturer, brand and product / solution level
* Communicate market / competitive news including implications for Sonova to internal stakeholders at different levels in the organization
* Third party, syndicated data socialization and further analysis (via PowerBI)
* Communicate complex topics with high level of clarity, simplicity and impact
* Develop strong stakeholder relationships across a matrixed, international organization and influence key decision makers across the global business
* Work in partnership with regions to ensure local/ global synergies, best practices and share & reapply. Raise organizational capability, train the organization on analyses, interpretation etc.
* Collaborate with other functions including data & analytics, marketing operations, etc
* Proactively seek out innovative/ alternative approaches to maximise budget efficiencies and  quality of outputs.
* Foster an environment of innovation within the Market Insights team, delivering relevant industry information to team members. Maintain an in-depth understanding of key industry news and relevant technological developments


What you bring to the team:
* Bachelor / Masters Degree in Economics, Social Sciences or Psychology. MBA is an asset
* 10+ years of experience in similar business facing roles, ideally in healthcare/medical device; experience in working in global, matrixed organizations
* Experience in generating meaningful and relevant insights from a variety of primary & secondary data sources
* Confident in distilling and interpreting information from multiple sources into clear and actionable stories with demonstratable consideration of implications for strategic priorities
* Creative and innovative in approach to competitive intelligence, thinking laterally and contributing effectively to designing information management systems
* Strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects concurrently to meet internal timelines
* Ability to clearly communicate complex information and data
* Ability to build strong relations with internal and external stakeholders
* Ability to effectively drive projects and land insights into the business
