Mission
To assist in the production and delivery of reporting, management information and claims portfolio analytics for the SCOR Global P&C Claims Department, under the responsibility of the P&C Global Claims Operations Manager and further to support the Global Claims Operations Team in providing analysis and reporting of major losses as required for SCOR’s role as tier 1 reinsurer.
Department
P&C Global Claims is a SCOR central transverse function that oversees the claims activities within each Hub across SCOR Global P&C, ensuring the proactive adjustment and management of claims reserves, and the timely provision of accurate management information to SCOR Global P&C leadership.
Responsibilities
Under the responsibility of the P&C Global Claims Operations Manager, the candidate will assist in the production of “business as usual” claims reporting as part of the usual weekly/monthly/quarterly timetable, assist in the ongoing redevelopment and maintenance of the Global Claims intranet SharePoint pages and assist in the performance and testing of the Global Claims ICS controls;
Specifically,
- Assist in the production of regular Global Claims reports including but not limited to: ?Quarterly Risk Dashboard – collating the various data feeds required and producing the final document with associated commentary
?Group Event Variation report
?Pre-Booking report
?Weekly/Monthly Large Loss Notification report
- Assist in developing the Global Claims SharePoint site, both in designing the structure and obtaining and populating content
- Procedures: assist in the development of procedures relating to reporting and controls, writing up the processes, drawing up flowcharts, gaining approval and distributing the information via the SharePoint site
- Collate information in respect of major catastrophe, major risk and casualty cat/other losses and maintain and update Major Loss SharePoint pages with the appropriate information.
- Production of other ad-hoc reporting as required
- Assist in the performance and testing of the Global Claims “ICS” controls
- To assist and contribute to a project to identify, specify, design, build, test and implement the addition of new fields into the existing reporting environment and new or existing reports
- To assist in identifying data issues, perform root cause analysis and in collaboration with the claims platform project team, work to provide solutions to improve data integrity & accuracy
- To contribute towards creating a culture of improving on quality and consistency of claims data (including coding of events), by assisting in the development of data integrity reports and routines, including ?ensuring claims are correctly linked to events – this is crucial when events are retroceded
?exception / control reports e.g. to monitor any deviation in claims authorities etc.

- To act as back-up to other Operations team functions, in the absence of the responsible person, as required
Some travel to other SCOR offices may be required
Required education (Which diploma is required to fill the position)
- Educated to Degree standard (2:1)
Required experience and skills (Which experience and skills are required to fill the position)
- Previous Management Information / Reporting experience, ideally within the Insurance industry would be useful but is not essential
- Role will suit an IT literate graduate, interested in learning about how various software tools are used for reporting and analytics in the business environment
- Strong Microsoft Office Skills required; Excel to advanced level (Access useful not essential)
- Report writing skills and ability to assemble succinct PowerPoint presentations
- High attention to detail, and good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects, ensuring high quality of delivery
- Good communication skills required – will need to build relationships in order to coordinate and collaborate effectively with key stakeholders including IT Team, clients, brokers, underwriters, finance and actuarial functions and other support staff in all hubs/offices in different countries.
- Self-motivated with good drive and enthusiasm; confident, requiring minimal direction & supervision
- Good conversational and written English essential in order to ensure clear communication with others whose first language is not English
