Segment Business Development Manager

Job description

We are seeking for a highly motivated Segment Manager to join our team at Schneider Electric Japan under Secure Power division.

In the current landscape of expanding Digital Transportation and rapid growth of IoT (Internet of Things), we are focusing on key segments to drive our business forward.

As a Segment Manager, you will collaborate closely with the Japan Business Development Director, the Global/Regional Segment teams, multiple sales teams, Product management teams, and Line of Business teams.

Together, you will develop and execute strategies to foster business growth within these segments.

Responsibilities:

1. Market Understanding:

· Stay informed about market trends and dynamics within IT/OT segments.
· Collaborate with the Global segment team to leverage the latest technology and solutions for the Japan market.
· Identify appropriate applications and create segment PAM/TAM models.
· Align segment requirements with Schneider Solutions' offerings.

2. Marketing Strategy and Value Proposition:

· Develop a comprehensive marketing strategy for targeted segments.
· Define a unique value proposition for each segment.
· Associate Go-To-Market strategies if required.
· Define market requirements and competitive solutions, providing recommendations to the Line of Business team.

Desired profile

Qualifications :

·  Bachelor's degree or equivalent (Marketing or Engineering would be an advantage).
·  MBA or equivalent postgraduate business degree preferred.
·  Minimum of 3 years of experience in segment marketing or business development.
·  5 years of working experience in a related field (IT, OT, or Electrical Facility Industry).
·  Fluent in both Business English and Native Japanese.
·  Excellent presentation skills with the ability to engage a wide range of audiences.
·  Proven ability to cultivate relationships and influence business within the IT/OT segment.
·  Strong data analysis skills with the ability to work with figures.
