Job description
Manage and control customs compliance operation and duty management programs. Implement cost effective freight solutions for the operation. Collaborate with other departments as necessary to meet customer requirements, to take advantage of sales opportunities, or in the case of shortages, to minimize negative impacts. Review logistics performance with customers against targets, benchmarks and service agreements.

Responsible for workforce planning and organizational development initiatives: Talent Management, Performance Management, Change Management, Training.
Manage and control customs compliance and duty management programs. Monitor regulatory and legislative changes related to Customs Compliance. Act of the main point of contact for external audits by local authorities. Oversee Customs brokerage provider activities.
Maintain freight expense within budget and implement transportation cost effective solutions to fulfill company needs. Manage and review freight service providers performance.
Implement and monitor C-TPAT/OEA programs, including training and deployment of best practices.
Additional responsibilities include finding opportunities for growth and identifying creative solutions for logistics.
Collaborate with other departments as necessary to meet customer requirements, to take advantage of sales opportunities or, in the case of shortages, to minimize negative impacts.
Responsibilities include budget maintenance: Ensure that department is operating within budgets.
Review logistics performance with customers against targets.
Candidate skills & requirements
Job Knowledge:
• Professional degree in International Business, International Trade, Logistics and Supply Chain Management
• Strong knowledge of all relevant US and MX customs regulation, this includes tariff classification and duty drawback programs.
• Knowledge in international trade agreements such as USMCA
• Customs broker management.
• Experience in Supply Chain Security Program
• Leadership skills and experience managing the import/export team.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel
• SAP desirable
