System Architect Optics
YOUR MAIN TASKS:
·
Definition and System architecture of optical consumer products, ensuring performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness
·
Translate product requirements and consumer needs into comprehensive system specifications
·
Lead system-level integration activities, balancing optical, mechanical, electronic, and software requirements
·
Lead of technical definition, architecture, and roadmap of advanced optical systems for consumer products (multifunctional observation devices)
·
Specify and validate system interfaces across multidisciplinary teams (optical, mechanical, electronic, firmware/software)
·
Serve as a technical reference for internal and external stakeholders throughout the product development lifecycle and serialization
·
Work with suppliers and manufacturing teams to drive product industrialization and quality assurance
·
Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and innovations in optical science, materials, and technologies

Candidate skills & requirements
YOUR PROFILE:
·
Master Degree in Physics, Optics or related field (ETH or equivalent, University of Applied Sciences)
·
At least 3 years' proven experience in optical product development and system-level architecture, particularly in consumer environments, knowledge in binoculars and laser range finder is a plus
·
Experience working in multidisciplinary teams and collaborating across project phases
·
Strong team spirit as well as excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
·
Proficient in development methods
·
Fluency in German and English
