The Supplier Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing all logistics activities related to supplier shipments. This role ensures the efficient and cost-effective transportation, tracking, and delivery of materials from suppliers to company facilities or designated locations. The position will collaborate closely with procurement, supply planning, and warehouse operations to enhance supplier logistics performance, mitigate risks, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Complementary Description
Develop and implement supplier logistics strategies aligned with the company's supply chain objectives.
Oversee the inbound logistics process, including supplier coordination, shipment scheduling, and delivery tracking.
Manage relationships with logistics service providers, ensuring optimal cost, quality, and delivery performance.
Collaborate with procurement and supplier management teams to improve supplier shipping compliance and performance.
Monitor and analyze logistics KPIs to enhance efficiency, reduce lead times, and optimize transportation costs.
Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, including customs compliance and hazardous material handling.
Work closely with internal stakeholders to address supplier-related logistics issues and implement corrective actions.
Lead initiatives to digitize and automate logistics tracking, reporting, and supplier collaboration.
Negotiate logistics contracts and service agreements with freight forwarders, carriers, and 3PL partners.
Support risk mitigation strategies for supplier disruptions, ensuring business continuity and resilience in the supply chain.
Job Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
3+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or transportation management within the aerospace or manufacturing industry.
Proven experience in managing supplier logistics, freight operations, and carrier negotiations.
Strong knowledge of global trade compliance, Incoterms, and customs regulations.
Experience with logistics software, ERP, and transportation management systems.
Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and communication skills.
Ability to work cross-functionally and lead process improvements in a complex supply chain environment.
Strong analytical mindset with proficiency in logistics data analysis and reporting.
Experience in managing third-party logistics (3PL) providers and freight forwarders.
