Job description
The Spares Forecast Analyst is responsible for developing accurate demand forecasts for spare parts, supporting supply chain planning, and enabling effective inventory management. This role ensures the availability of replacement parts to meet customer needs and optimizes inventory levels to balance service levels and costs.
• Analyze historical sales data, market trends, and customer usage patterns to create accurate forecasts of spare part demand.
• Collaborate with sales, customer service, supply chain, and manufacturing teams to gather necessary input for demand planning.
• Maintain and improve demand forecasting models and tools for continual process improvement.
• Monitor forecast accuracy, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions as needed.
• Prepare regular demand planning reports and KPIs for internal stakeholders.
• Support new product introductions and end-of-life planning for spares inventory.
• Participate in cross-functional meetings to align demand forecasts with supply chain and business objectives.
• Assist with inventory optimization initiatives to improve service levels and reduce excess stock.
• Provide data-driven insights for pricing, promotions, and customer service strategies related to spares

Candidate skills & requirements
• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, statistics, engineering, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus)
• Experience in demand planning, forecasting, or inventory management, preferably in the aerospace or industrial sector
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills; proficiency in forecasting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, etc.)
• Advanced computer/software skills with knowledge in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel-including advanced Excel functionality such as pivot tables, Access, Power Bi) and SAP.
• Knowledge of 5S, Lean and Kaizen methods is a plus
• Demonstrated ability to set and achieve stretch goals quickly, while possessing strong people skills
• Knowledge of economic principles and impact on Safran's Business
• Knowledge of FAA regulations and understanding of Quality requirements
• Experience applying Lean and Continuous Improvement ideas
• Understands and apply safety standards consistently
