Safran Aerosystems' Wall Township, New Jersey facility is home to the North American headquarters of our Evacuation Systems Business Unit (SEV). Here, you will help design, manufacture, maintain, and support life-saving aircraft evacuation systems, including emergency slides, life rafts, and flotation devices.

You will join the Quality Department, taking on the role of Quality Technician within a team of engineers/technicians/others, reporting to the Quality Lead.

The tasks of the Quality Inspector is to evaluate, perform, or witness testing of a manufactured product's quality characteristics in relation to their specific drawing, specification, or Standard Practice requirements. Support the manufacturing department by assuring that only products meeting or exceeding specified requirements are used for service.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate leadership qualities, assume responsibilities, complete assignments in a timely manner, and have the ability to work within a team structure.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Understand ad apply all aspects of the Quality system including: QSM, QSP'S, QB'S SOD'S, Checklists, ATP's and ATR's.

• Ability to work with minimum supervision to solve or assist in solving inspection and manufacturing problems by collecting and analyzing data

• Verify that manufactured items meet the latest applicable revision drawings and/or specifications using measuring and test equipment (M&TE).

• Complete all inspection paperwork to assure identification and traceability and use specified identification techniques to assure state of inspection and separation of conforming and

Non-conforming product.

• Perform First Article Inspection (FAI) and prepares associated FAI paperwork using AS9102 format.

• Perform quality and safety audits

• Adheres to safe work practices and contributes to the evolution of the health, safety, and environmental program and culture;

• Regular, predictable attendance is required;

• Perform admin duties (data entry, scanning, & filing)

• Other duties may be assigned

Knowledge/Skills:

• Product and procedural knowledge of various product lines - Basic

• Must have good written and verbal skills and ability to communicate professionally with other departments and/or customer or government representatives during inspection activities - Advanced

• Some computer knowledge required - Advanced

• Shows an aptitude for work with standard measurement equipment such as tape measure, calipers, height gages, pressure gages and other measurement equipment - Advanced

• Ability read and accurately interpret design drawings - Advanced

• Ability to verify and input data into various quality digitally databases and forms - Advanced
