Job Summary
The Quality Engineers role is to either assess and assure the Supplier and the quality of products and services they provide are compliant with contractual requirements.
The Quality Engineer will support the rollout of new programmes as well as develop and implement product standards for use between internal quality and external supply chain or to guarantee the compliance of products and services delivered to customers by implementing customer and Safran requirements within the program.
Scope of Responsibilities
Function as a quality interface and represent the Quality department by building and maintaining relationships of trust with customers.
Listen to customers' concerns about quality and translate them into requirements, negotiate as effectively as possible with the customer and implement them operationally within the program.
Understand the implicit and explicit quality requirements of other stakeholders, negotiate them as effectively as possible and integrate them operationally within the program.
Guarantee quality performance within the program, or to assure the quality of products, throughout the product lifecycle with Safran Seats GB.
These individuals will support the product lifecycle quality assurance, through the complete manufacturing process, and take responsibility for ensuring that processes and procedures are in place and adhered to in relation to product quality.
The post holder will support the operational throughput of SGB to ensure the required deliverables are completed on time and to the customer's specification and quality standard.

Candidate skills & requirements
The successful Quality Engineer will require the following;
HNC / HND in an Engineering Discipline
Internal Auditor AS9100 trained
Sound engineering / quality background, with experience of Quality inspection within a manufacturing / engineering industry.
Proven experience within a Supplier, Programme or Operations Quality position
Prior experience within the Aerospace industry, preferably interiors beneficial
In depth understanding and/or experience in utilising QA Tools such as APQP, PPAP, MSA, SPC, Control Plans, FMEA, Poke Yoke and RCCA
Excellent knowledge of measuring equipment and general improvement tools (such as Lean, 6 Sigma)
Demonstrable experience in managing risks related to materials, special processes
Proficient in quality analysis tools such as 8D SPC, PFMEA.
Knowledge of HSE risk management and flight safety risk management.
