In the UK, Safran Seats specialises solely in the First Class and Business Class seating markets for wide body aircraft, with industrial and engineering teams in Cwmbran and Newport, Wales and Brackley, England.
The purpose of this role is to be responsible for managing the overall strategy,
development, and performance of the UNITY Product Line. This role requires a
blend of strategic thinking, business acumen, leadership and technical knowledge
to ensure the successful execution of product line objectives. The PLM will
collaborate cross-functionally within the company to align product development
with market demands and organizational goals.
The key objective will be to provide the company with a configurable generic
product that meets both its target market and strategic requirements (profitability,
market share, industrial strategy, etc.).
Key Responsibilities will include:
Develop Product Line Roadmap: Formulate and execute the long-term
roadmap for the UNITY product line, ensuring alignment with company
goals and market trends.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with R&D, Marketing,
Sales, Operations, and Engineering to ensure cohesive progress towards
product line objectives.
Product Line integrity: Interface with internal stakeholders (in particular
Programmes) to communicate product line requirements, progress, and
changes. Ensure that all instantiated Programmes contribute to building
the PL in line with the booked CAPDEV and related roadmap.

Candidate skills:
Leadership: Proven ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams.
Analytical business Thinking: Strong analytical thinking skills to drive product line financial success.
Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information for executive-level reporting.
Negotiation: Skilled in internal negotiation to advocate for product line priorities and resources.
Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of the market dynamics and customer needs related to the product line.
Technical Knowledge: Background in the technical aspects of product development within the industry.
Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of financial principles and
business case development.
Behavioral skills: Tenacious, determined and motivated by achievement of targets
