Job description
Planning & Sourcing Specialist positions offered by Safran Cabin, Inc. (Costa Mesa, California). Identify ways to eliminate material shortages for testing and certification and secure material availability at the beginning of the test plans. Participate in problem solving for testing, certification materials, and supply chain processes. Examine documents, materials, and products and monitor work processes in order to assess completeness, accuracy, and conformance to standards and specifications. Review production of the testing articles schedules, work order, and current staff to determine personnel and materials requirements and priorities. Perform daily management of logistics functions, including performance tracking in support of internal and external customer requirements. Develop and document work procedures, prepare work schedules, and ensure staffing levels are adequate to support manufacturing and planning requests for testing and certification. Evaluate shortages and deliver prompt solutions, keeping appropriate stakeholders informed of any potential problem as required. Read and review testing engineering drawings and documentation and coordinate any changes. Confirm accuracy of pertinent data in the company ERP system. Collaborate with stakeholders on lead times, planning items and any testing certification related elements. Perform root cause analysis activities related to planning for testing and certification.

The expected salary range for this position is between $102,045 - $111,180 USD. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, education, and other factors permitted by law.
Candidate skills & requirements
• Requires a bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in international business or a related field and 10 years of experience using an MRP system, including working with system requirements, purchase order and manufacturing order processes, and inventory management practices.
• Must have 5 years of experience in each of the following:

Using Material Management operational concepts surrounding production planning, inventory control, purchasing, stockroom operations, or shipping and receiving
·
Performing production, material, or supply chain planning
·
Procuring raw materials, standards, and parts.
• Must have 2 years of experience in each of the following:
· Working in the Aerospace industry.
• Position reports to Costa Mesa, CA office. Telecommuting permitted in accordance with company policy, but must live within commuting distance of stated office.
• Experience may be, but need not be, acquired concurrently.
