Job description

Position Title
Component Overhaul Technician/ MRO Technician (Aerosource)

Primary Job Function:
The component overhaul technician performs maintenance, repair and overhaul of complex aircraft components.
Essential Job Functions:
•Performs hands-on maintenance tasks with complex mechanical, electrical, electronic and/or hydraulic aircraft components.
•Maintenance tasks include disassembly, cleaning, inspection, troubleshooting, parts requisitioning, repair, assembly and test.
•Uses and understands component maintenance manuals and other repair specifications.
•Maintains a clean and organized work area.
•Understands and follows company quality management system procedures.
•Familiar with applicable federal aviation regulations that relate directly to the work being performed.
•Accurately completes and takes responsibility for documentation of maintenance performed.
•May also perform build of similar new components per work instructions.
•Regular, predictable attendance is required.

Candidate skills & requirements

Desired profile

Basic Qualifications:
•2 years of experience as an electrical or mechanical technician in an industrial, aviation, or military organization. OR an A&P certificate from an accredited institution.
•High school diploma or GED.
•Basic computer skills (typing, email, etc.)
•Able to read/write English.
•Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship. This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
