Job description

This position contributes to our vision by:

 Setup and operate braiding machines, bobbin winders, convolution lathes.

 Select and handle various wires such as tin copper, nickel copper, stainless steel, phosphor bronze, etc.

 Select tooling, setup, select heat temps, pre-heat, fine tune and operate extruders and auto convoluters over short and long runs.

 Mix, weigh, and run various compounds and materials such as Tefzel, FEP, PTFE, Icoprene and PEEK.

 Bake product and strip wire.

 Disassemble and clean extruder components after runs, using torches, wire wheels and various cleanout techniques.

 Setup and operate various specialized machinery to coil wire, produce drain holes, and drawdown tubing.

 Perform finishing operations, such as electro-polishing, ultrasonic cleaning, media tumbling, etc.

 Interpret technical drawings, prints and manufacturing specifications.

 Perform receiving and maintains raw material inventory.

 Perform precision measuring inspection of conduit, braid, tubing, wires, mandrels, etc., using micrometers, dial calipers and other metrology instruments.

 Pressure test and jacket conduit. Jacketing requires teamwork skills.

 Follow work orders and travelers, and maintain necessary documentation for traceability.

 Promote and participate in continuous improvement and team building activities.

 Perform delegated preventive maintenance on shop machinery.

 Adheres to safe work practices and contributes to the evolution of the health, safety, and environmental

 program and culture;

 Regular, predictable attendance is required;

 Other duties may be assigned.
