Safran Aerosystems (SAO) designs high-technology solutions that enhance aircraft performance and flight safety. As the world leader in emergency evacuation systems and crew oxygen systems, Safran Aerosystems is also a major player in fuel and fluid systems.
The Aerosafety Division (DASY) develops a wide range of inflatable systems (evacuation slides, helicopter emergency flotation systems, life rafts, and life vests) for commercial and military aircraft, as well as oxygen systems for pilots and passengers.
You will join the Evacuation Systems Business Unit (SEV), a world leader in the design, manufacturing, and maintenance of evacuation slides, life rafts, and life vests for aircraft, as well as flotation systems for helicopters.
This position will be responsible for the Leadership of Vertical Integration and the introduction of New Automation initiatives within the group.
• Manage vertical integration projects for composite materials, ensuring smooth hand off to production teams and alignment with strategic goals.
• Develop, implement, and oversee Manufacturing 4.0 initiatives, including the integration of digital tools, automation, and data analytics to optimize production processes.
• Lead the Industrialization work package of composites related development programs with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, quality, and supply chain, to drive project success and meet milestones.
• Perform detailed analysis and simulations to assess the feasibility, performance, and cost-effectiveness of new processes and technologies.
• Prepare and present comprehensive project reports, including technical documentation, progress updates, and key performance indicators (KPIs), to stakeholders and senior management.
• Act as an advisor on composite manufacturing processes and Manufacturing 4.0 technologies, providing guidance and support to team members and other departments.

• This position would be responsible for the direct and indirect supervision of Cutting System technicians
• This position requires hands on equipment modification and maintenance
• This position sits and performs computer work for extended periods of time.

• The work environment is a mix of office and manufacturing floor environments with moderate noise.
• Some travel required (approximately 20%)

• Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to composites and advanced manufacturing.
• Coordinate and manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project objectives.
• Support High level Capacity reviews, Project Status presentations, and Compliance Audits.
• Ensure corporate policy and procedure requirements compliance when implementing major Industrial Improvements or changes.
• Regular, predictable attendance is required;
