Job description

The purpose of the Head of Technical Audit role is to act as the primary focal point in SGB Engineering for all aspects related to the Safran Seats Technical Audit (TA) function, i.e.
• Ensure Master Engineering Reviews (MER) and associated Part design reviews for each development project are held on time and in line.
• Ensure the Review Action Item Lists (RAILs) are generated and followed up until completion.
• Be an active member of the TA network, and communicate pro-actively on best practices.
• Act as the independent reviewer of the technical designs at each MER, and identify improvements or feedback as needed.
• Generate the On Time Treatment (OTT) KPI based on the closure of all actions from MERs held in SGB.
• Ensures execution of the TA mission within SGB in line with TA processes and procedures.
• Identifies all necessary improvements within SGB to ensure the TA missions are fully achieved.

Candidate skills & requirements
· The role demands a high level of experience and competence in engineering design and management plus
all associated processes.
·
Engineering degree
·
Suitable engineering design and management experience in an Aerospace product
development environment preferably.
· In-depth knowledge of all engineering disciplines and be able to find suitable solutions to fulfill all of those necessary aspects when a particular technical problem arises.
A good level of technical knowledge is required in:
Mechanical design
Electrical design
Electronic control systems and actuation
Stress analysis
Dynamic and static testing, and understanding of results
Current industry standards, including all relevant FAA, EASA & CAA regulations
Airframer requirements and processes
The position holder is also required to operate project management and risk management processes.
