The Buyer is responsible for procuring materials, components, and services required to support production and business needs. This role ensures timely purchase order placement, supplier follow-up, and alignment with planning requirements while managing delivery risks, shortages, and supplier performance.

The Buyer is responsible for procuring materials, components, and services required to support production and business needs. This role ensures timely purchase order placement, supplier follow-up, and alignment with planning requirements while managing delivery risks, shortages, and supplier performance.
Candidate skills & requirements
Place and manage Purchase Orders in accordance with MRP/MPS requirements.
Ensure timely PO confirmation, delivery follow-up, and resolution of past-due orders.
Communicate regularly with suppliers to confirm lead times, quantities, and delivery dates.
Identify, escalate, and support mitigation of material shortages and supply risks.
Coordinate with Planning, Production, Quality, and Logistics to support production needs.
Support expediting, drop shipments, and logistics prioritization when required.
Maintain accurate procurement data in ERP systems.
Ensure compliance with procurement policies, contractual terms, and quality requirements.
Support supplier performance improvement and continuous improvement initiatives.
Prepare status updates and reports for internal stakeholders.
