Job description
What does the role look like?
If you've grown aftermarket revenue in aerospace or defence — and you know the difference between activity and impact — this role is for you.
We're looking for a commercially driven leader to own and grow the Actuation aftermarket business in the UK Defence sector. This is a senior, visible role with real accountability: revenue growth, order intake, customer relationships, and the execution of a clear aftermarket strategy.
You'll sit at the intersection of customers, programmes, and internal capability — turning opportunity into orders.
What will your day-to-day responsibilities look like?
• Grow the Actuation aftermarket business (repairs, spares, services) within the UK Defence sector
• Owning and delivering aftermarket order intake and business growth targets
• Developing and executing a focused aftermarket growth plan, mobilising resources across Actuation and Safran Electronics & Defense
• Leading key customer pursuits for Aftermarket and supporting priority OE pursuits
• Building, managing, and sustaining senior customer relationships critical to long-term growth
• Owning the aftermarket strategy for existing programmes, entry-into-service, and development programmes
• Acting as the senior focal point for all aftermarket matters within Actuation
• Leading customer quotation, pricing, and negotiation activity for aftermarket support
• Managing pricing strategies, trend analysis, and corrective actions
• Owning site improvement targets linked to growth (order intake, campaigns, customer outcomes)
• Driving improvements that strengthen our aftermarket proposition (TAT, customer satisfaction, responsiveness)
But what else? (benefits, specificities, etc.)
• Competitive salary
• Company performance bonus scheme
• Pension scheme - up to 10% employer contribution
• Private medical insurance
• Comprehensive health cash plan
• 25 days annual leave + bank holidays
• Flexible benefits programme (buy & sell holiday allowance, discounted gym memberships, Maternity/ adoption leave- up to 52 weeks, first 26 weeks at full pay, subsequent 26 at 50% (basic pay) and Paternity/Non-Pregnant Parent/ Co-adopter leave 4 weeks full pay)
• Structured training & opportunities to progress
Candidate skills & requirements
What will you bring to the role?
Essential skills:
• Proven experience growing aftermarket revenue in aerospace and/or defence
• Strong commercial leadership with customer-facing credibility
• Track record of winning and expanding business within regulated, programme-driven environments
Desirable skills:
• Confident leading complex negotiations and influencing senior stakeholders
• Comfortable owning numbers, targets, and outcomes — not just activity
• Experience working cross-functionally across sales, engineering, operations, and supply chain
• Strong planning, forecasting, and CRM discipline (Salesforce experience preferred)
• Flexible mindset that can adapt approach depending on audience
