Quality Control Technician

MAIN PURPOSE 

 

Reporting to the Head of Technical Operations, SEA this role is responsible for upholding the highest technical quality standards in watch repairs, directly contributing to the excellence of sales and after-sales services 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

1. Technical Quality Control & Assurance 

  • Conduct comprehensive technical quality control inspections on all watch repairs, ensuring strict adherence to established procedures and brand specifications. 

  • Document and escalate quality control failures to the Head of Technical Operations for appropriate resolution and further processing. 

  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of all quality control failures. 

  • Proactively identify and report technical issues, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and providing constructive feedback to management. 

 

2. Operational Compliance & Workstation Management 

  • Adhere strictly to service centre policies regarding authorized repairs, ensuring no unauthorized watches or non-watch products are serviced. 

  • Ensure the proper disposal or storage of used spare parts, maintaining a clean, organized, and safe workstation. 

  • Maintain all equipment in optimal working condition to facilitate effective daily operations. 

 

3. Inventory Support 

  • Assist with periodic stock counts and inventory management as required. 

 

REQUIREMENT 

 

  • Good visual acuity and meticulous attention to detail. 

  • No formal prior experience in a comparable role is mandatory as training will be provided, but prior experience in quality control or the watch industry is highly advantageous. 

  • Proven ability to work autonomously and demonstrate self-motivation, coupled with strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative team-player mindset. 

  • Proficiency in standard computer applications (e.g., MS Office Suite, internet browsers, email); familiarity with SAP is a plus. 

  • Strong collaboration required with both Technical and Admin teams as well strong functional line of reporting with line manager.
