Job description
CONTEXT
As a key member of the Southeast Asia & Oceania EXCO team and reporting directly to the Chief Executive Office, SEAO and functionally to APAC CFO, this role has the overall responsibility to lead the SEAO Finance function, drive strategic business and organizational decisions, manage all the aspects of finance operations, compliance, taxes, treasury, key projects and initiatives.
The right candidate with forward looking vision and strong people management skill will define and drive the function priorities, hire and develop a high-performance team to enable finance transformation, partner effectively with Maisons and Functions stakeholders in market, APAC and Group in a highly matrix organization to create strong business impact in a dynamic and complex luxury marketplace, while ensuring financial compliance and control.
The SEAO region comprises of 6 entities (Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Australia and New Zealand) and 5 export markets.
HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT?
You will have the key responsibilities to the below strategic areas:
BUSINESS PARTNERSHIP
· Act as a strategic business partner to SEAO CEO and all Maisons Management, to drive business development and sustainable growth to achieve the Company’s long-term financial objectives.
· Ensure permanent and consistent business follow-up for Maisons and Richemont Functions, analyse financial performance, develop short- and medium-term business plans to safeguard the profitability of the company.
· Define the Finance priorities for SEAO, manage the Finance departmental resources, drive Finance process transformation and deliver functional objectives and contribute towards the success of SEAO organisation.
FINANCE OPERATIONS
· Responsible for the SEAO region’s financial and accounting operations, ensure reporting requirements at Statutory and Group levels are met, while driving synergies and consistencies across all SEAO markets in finance operations.
· Build a strong and high-performance team to efficiently manage all finance operations while ensuring strong and transparent communication with SEAO markets, APAC region and Group stakeholders.
· Accountable for the success of finance business development including migration and integration of new businesses and markets.
INTERNAL CONTROL AND COMPLIANCE
· Develop and maintain a robust internal control environment and risk mitigation framework, ensure the processes and policies are implemented to achieve a high level of compliance.
· Manage the relationship with auditors (both internal and external), and follow-up on action plans. Work closely with the Regional ICS team in APAC to ensure consistencies across SEAO markets with regard to the ICS framework
· Act as a key player in the local Compliance Committee to strengthen local governance and compliance to safeguard the Company’s assets and reputation.
ORGANIZATION BUILDER
· Lead the end-to-end SEAO Finance functions across FP&A, Accounting, Finance Operations and ICS in all SEAO markets, ensuring proper organization design and casting in accordance with the business environment of the region.
· Create an inspiring team environment with multicultural awareness and collaboration through setting clear team goals and objectives that align with APAC and Group Finance vision.
· Hire and develop future Finance leaders and a robust talent pipeline through active coaching, constructive feedback and strong people leadership skills,
HOW WILL YOU EXPERIENCE SUCCESS WITH US?
- What skills do you need to succeed
· A minimum of 15 years in Finance of which 5+ years are in senior finance management positions in the complex MNCs environment.
· Strong business acumen and understanding of the luxury markets landscape and future business trends in APAC / SEAO.
· Exceptional communication and presentation skills with proven track record in building partnership with C-suite level stakeholders.
· Accomplished in leading and transforming sizeable and cross-cultural teams in multinational and matrix organization environment.
· Effective leadership in envisioning future organization design, building high-performance teams and coaching people for success.
· Strong in all learning agilities (mental, people, change and results), with strong self-awareness and ability to deal with ambiguity and fast-changing environment.
· Fluent in English, while French an advantage.
