HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT?
- Manage and coordinate the company's human resources function across subfunctions, such as recruitment, training and talent development, compensation and benefits, organization development, and employee relations, to meet company’s business requirements.
- Identify new external developments and emerging issues within an area of technology or business function and evaluate their potential impact on, or usefulness to, the organization.
- Lead the development and implementation of strategy for a significant area of responsibility, anticipating complex issues, challenges, and opportunities and ensuring integration with wider corporate strategy.
- Develop a comprehensive policy framework for a significant area of the business and oversee its implementation.
- Lead the development of HR frameworks and tools for recruitment, performance management, development, career and succession planning, compensation and benefits, diversity, employee onboarding and offboarding, and retention of talent for a significant area of responsibility, ensuring compliance with external requirements and integration with the broader corporate policy framework. Enable the attraction, development, and retention of talent at a sustainable cost.
- Provide authoritative specialist advice to senior managers at the business unit or regional level to enable the implementation of policy, projects, and change initiatives.
- Develop and investigate multiple hypotheses, using a wide range of HR data to diagnose underlying causes of key business issues and identify opportunities to enhance employee engagement and improve business performance.
- Identify and communicate the actions needed to implement the function's strategy and business plan within the business area or department; explain the relationship to the broader organization's mission, vision, and values; motivate people to commit to these tenets and achieve local business goals.
- Manage budget plans for a department, involving development or delivery or both.
- Lead the detailed design of projects within a transformational change program and manage their delivery, ensuring integration with related projects; use structured change management methodologies to drive acceptance of change and embed desired culture and behaviors.
- Specify and manage the implementation of HR data requirements for an important area of responsibility within the HR function to meet the organization's management information needs and support key processes and procedures.
- Evaluate the capabilities of staff within the department to identify gaps and prioritize development activities. Implement the organization's formal development frameworks within the area of responsibility. Coach and mentor others to support the development of the organization's talent pool.
- Manage and report on performance within the department or area of responsibility; set appropriate performance objectives for direct reports and hold individuals accountable for achieving them; take appropriate corrective action where necessary to ensure the achievement of annual business objectives.
- Ensure all HR practices and policies are in line with the company's diversity and inclusion guidelines.
- Maintain a high level of professional knowledge and expertise in HR management and stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in the field.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure HR strategies and initiatives are aligned with the overall business objectives and contribute to the company's success.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes employee engagement, satisfaction, and well-being.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws and regulations, and manage any legal or compliance issues related to HR activities.
- Develop and implement effective communication strategies to keep employees informed and engaged with HR initiatives and changes.
- Utilize data and analytics to measure the effectiveness of HR programs and initiatives and make data-driven decisions to improve HR processes and outcomes.
- Lead and participate in cross-functional teams and projects to drive organizational change and improvement.
- Represent the HR function in meetings and discussions with senior management and other stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations to support business decisions.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve HR processes and practices, leveraging technology and innovation to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Ensure the HR team is equipped with the necessary skills, knowledge, and resources to perform their roles effectively and deliver high-quality HR services to the organization.

Post-Secondary Non-Tertiary Education
Sound experience and understanding of straightforward procedures or systems.
