Workday Report Engineer

Job description

We are looking for a Workday Reporting Engineer to contribute to the delivery of reporting capabilities to both HR business and internal Global Process Owners within the Workday ecosystem. You will be one of the key drivers behind our continued growth and success with the Workday Platform, working closely with cross-functional teams, including IT and HR, to develop and enhance reporting and analytics products. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining Workday reports, as well as calculated fields, dashboards, alerts, and Prism configuration.

The ideal candidate for this position will have technical Workday experience, preferably in the Reporting space with a functional understanding of Workday's data architecture, however significant end user experience with Workday reports and dashboards is acceptable. Knowledge of Workday security is also a plus.

You will be wholly committed to the discovery and development of Workday reports and should strive to deliver an outstanding experience for our users. You should be motivated, determined, hungry for knowledge and extremely detail oriented.

You will work with the Workday Reporting lead, who is based in Cincinnati. Working in the IT team in P&G, you will engage and gather partner feedback to improve reporting, participate in technical design, process workflow and communication discussions. You will collaborate across IT and HR teams, passionate about delivering new or upgrading existing reporting and analytics products.

Responsibilities

· 
Troubleshoot Workday reporting and dashboard issues, performing root cause analysis to reduce future issues.

· 
Design, develop, configure, and test simple to complex Workday reports (advanced, matrix, composite) utilizing Workday Report Writer, as well as other organizational tools and available technologies.

· 
Evaluate evolving Workday and Prism reporting functionality to deliver against changing business needs.

· 
Provide cross-functional understanding of data and support in the validation of new and revised reports.

· 
Provide technical guidance and develop Reports and Dashboards in Workday and Prism

· 
Review system upgrades/releases to determine overall business impact, conduct regression testing and make recommendations for future enhancements/functionality.

· 
Maintain awareness of current trends in Workday reporting and standard methodologies

Job Qualifications

·  Workday Report Writer experience or extensive end-user Workday reporting experience
·  Ability to understand the business requirements, user needs and translate them into operational requirements.
·  Ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy with highly confidential data.
·  Self-motivated with a focus on getting results and strong sense of accountability
·  Demonstrated experience in analytical thinking and problem-solving.
·  Superior collaboration, communication, and organizational skills
