Job description

Role Description : This role of the DRP Planner is to utilize SAP functionality as the planning tool for developing a short and long-term replenishment plan for the DRP Network. For the short-term horizon, the ideal plan is sent to the Supply Chain while the constrained replenishment recommendation is sent to the Vehicle Building Tool. For the long-term horizon, an 18 – 24 month replenishment plan is sent to the Supply Chain for use within Site Integrated Planning and Category Supply Planning work processes. The DRP Planner must access daily/weekly reports to analyze key DRP Performance metrics to drive Supply Network reductions in Cash, Cost and improve Customer Service results.

The Planner utilizes effective tools and work processes to maximize the delivery of product from the source to the receiving location, while minimizing cost and interruptions in service. He/She understands the significance of the Site/Category Operating Strategy and considers network inventory parameters when making deployment choices. The Deployment Planner will work closely with DRP, SIP and Physical Distribution Planners to ensure the timely and accurate replenishment recommendations are generated.

Responsibilities :

·  Maintaining the distribution network parameters, including the master data for sourcing, inventory targets, leadtime, and lot sizing.
·  Validate Demand Flow for Products in DRP Network
·  Establishing the network sourcing strategy, including interplant and crossborder supply
·  Maintain DRP product validity within the network to create replenishment recommendations for distribution centers and consignment plants, taking into account current inventories, inventory targets, current orders, demand forecast, in transit inventory, lot size, sourcing strategy, and replenishment leadtime.
·  Maintain product transitions within the network
·  Determine deployment priorities in the event of inventory shortage
·  Perform inventory target reviews per deployed business strategy
·  Communicate with DRP Key User to resolve critical issues which impact Cash, Cost, Service
·  Measures & drives continual improvement via daily/weekly DMS processes, including SERPAT metrics.
·  Maintain Vehicle Constraints within the Deployment Tool
·  Confirm DRP recommendations and submit vehicles for shipment execution
·  Creating recommendations for properly weighted and cubed vehicles to ship from source sites to receiving locations
·  Evaluating the day to day capability of the source sites to ship the planned DRP replenishment orders
·  Communicate with DRP Key User to resolve critical issues and implement corrective actions
·  Developing priorities and alternative plans when all of the DRP replenishment orders cannot be met
·  Measures & drives continual improvement via daily/weekly/monthly work processes
