This opportunity is a Monday through Friday on-site role.
The Site Microbiology QA Manager will have overall responsibility for the development and implementation of the site’s microbiological results and compliance of the site. The site includes production of multiple SKUs under the Charmin & Puffs brands that incorporate lotion in some form and thus necessitates compliance with FDA requirements. This role has responsibility for the development, implementation, monitoring and improvement of one or more quality systems related to policies and procedures, performance measurement, continuous improvement, capability and development and validation of our systems and processes. Systems include consumer comments, learning and development, investigations, validation, etc.
This also includes:

Microbiological lab, lab standards and procedures; qualification of micro lab personnel

Compliance to the requisite microbiological operating standards and procedures
·
Microbiology Daily Management system
·
Sanitary Design
·
Cleaning and Sanitization
·
Microbiological Standards Awareness
·
Handling Contaminations
·
Microbiology Scorecard Ownership
Job Qualifications
·
A Bachelor's and / or Masters degree in Microbiology or Biology is preferred. Other degrees will be considered as paired with professional experience
·
2-6 years of relevant professional experience
·
The individual must also possess a sound technical understanding of microbiology and its application to industrial processes, operating standards and product testing
·
Have good investigative and documentation skills
·
Have good understanding of the methods used for product testing, isolation and identification
·
Have a good understanding of where equipment and processes are at risk for microbial contamination
·
Have the confidence to stop or prevent production if significant risks are resolved.
·
Have the leadership skills to be able to rapidly and effectively implement required changes across the site.
·
Have a good understanding of the regulatory requirements and necessary compliance of the products made at the specific site
·
Have good communication skills and the ability to network inside and outside the Micro community
·
Adhere to defined standards at both the corporate and site level.
Starting Salary Range: $85 -115K
Compensation for roles at P&G varies depending on a wide array of non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, degree/credentials, relevant abilities, and level of relevant experience.
