AShiftChemist/ Microbiologistat P&G is responsible for collecting samples, analyzing and labeling raw materials, finished goods, and other samples. We also perform record keeping and other Quality Control (QC) related responsibilities as directed by the Lab Coordinator/ Team Leader.

Important Responsibilities

·  Perform raw material, finished goods sample analysis according to the standard analytical procedure
·  Performs routine instrument maintenance and calibration asneeded in the course of analytical work.
·  Conducts limited instrument troubleshooting and problem diagnosis
·  Makes judgment based on knowledge and experience as to the accuracy and reliability of analytical results
·  Observes and identifies problems with results and reports to supervisor
·  Conducts analytical method development work with direct supervision and guidance
·  Inspects empty bulk trucks prior to loading and appearance of raw materials during unloading as needed
·  Coordinates work with Production Lead on night and weekend shifts to ensure appropriate prioritization of work

Essential Functions:

·Possess experience and knowledge of basic laboratory operations such as weighing and preparing volumetric solutions.

·Interpret analytical method procedures and safety instructions using standard chemistry terms and measures.

·Perform routine calculations pertaining to analytical chemistry (e.g. dilution, concentration, test results).

·Have training and experience to work safely around complex, analytical instrumentation and apparatus as well as hazardous chemicals in a manner that follows Safety and QA standards.

Qualifications

We believe you will be an excellent fit here if, you :

·  Are aGraduate in one of the following majors:
·  Microbiology/Biotechnology/Chemistry, Applied Chemistry/Organic Chemistry/Inorganic Chemistry etc. with 0 – 5 years of relevant experience (preferred.
·  In addition to good knowledge of English, we also look for skills such as technical curiosity, creativity, innovation, initiative, communication, leadership and the ability to work with others.
