Overview of the job

As a Sales Manager, you receive meaningful responsibilities from day 1. You oversee maintaining and expanding a long-term partnership with your customer by continuously proposing solutions and plans that meet their objectives. To do so, you'll develop a keen sense of understanding of your product, categories, and markets. While building the plans for your customer, you will develop your negotiating and sales skills and your financial and marketing skills, analytical insights and logistical understanding as you are responsible for your client from A-Z. Your key deliverables include delivery of Value Sales/Volume Sales, Superior Sales fundamentals (Distribution, Merchandising, Pricing and Shelf).

You'll be part of a customer team in which trust, team spirit, real passion for winning and leadership are very important.

Your team

This role reports to Sales Director who is responsible for modern retail & distributor sales.

How success looks like

Superior Retail Execution:

• Activate and accelerate growth & execution across customer channel formats.

• Monitor, Review and Report changes in shopper in-store experience, including competitive activity

• Create, Sell, Execute, and Review Assortment, Shelving and Displays plans to deliver targets on Share of Shelf, Share of SKUs and Share of Display.

• Plan, Sell, Execute and Review MBCI merchandising plan to drive share of display and feature.

• Plan, Deploy and Review top store plans to ensure compliance to SBD Principles.

• Create, Sell and Review pricing plans to deliver expected value impression.

• In-market demonstration (Plan Do Check Action) review and delivery of key monthly priorities in market training and audits.

Superior Reach with GTM of the Future

• Provide inputs for customer level differentiated Go To Market plans to ensure Joint Business Planning sufficiency.

• Create, Deploy, and Review store operations package to enable prefect execution.

• Create, Sell, Execute and Review Initiative plans that exceed booklet.

• Plan, Execute and Review appropriate internal controls to protect Company’s assets.

Superior Value Creation:

• Plan, Communicate, Align and Review differentiation plans to ensure sufficiency. Work with the customer to identify efficiency ideas and executes them effectively.

• Create, Sell, Execute and Review initiative plans that exceed booklet.

• Input into the demand forecast for his/her Unit based on sufficiency to deliver volume & value targets.

• Demonstrate stewardship across all key action areas – business and fundamentals reporting.

• Leverages multi-functional resources to analyse key gaps – and execute agreed activation


• Understand skill gap of KAM (New Hire) and coach them on identified opportunities.

• Personal Mastery of Sales Skills Framework.

• Establish understand of customer decision making and work processes via account penetration and influence to simplify selling.

• Lead or support Sales special projects.

Responsibilities of the role

·  Develop short & long-term strategies and identify business-building chances to create shared value for P&G and customers.

·  Manage a sales budget to drive business growth generating return on investment.

·  Be the voice of the customer to our company & business categories.

·  Lead daily & monthly planning to deliver sales goals.

·  Develop plans to win with customers & channels, making every store a growth engine for our brands.

·  Drive growth in sales, share, and return on investment.

·  Develop productive working relationships with key customer contacts in a positive way.

·  Leverage consumer insights and partner with customers to input into the development of a joint business plan.

·  Use analytical tools and integrate various data systems to develop new department and category insights.

·  Improve our selling advantage by driving customer category growth and contributing to their category strategies.

·  Manage a sales budget to drive business growth generating return on investment.

Job Qualifications

Role Requirements

·  Bachelor’s Degree with 3+ years of Sales & Financial experience in FMCG environment

·  Leader who are passionate to make things happen, collaborating well with diverse groups of people

·  Strong analytical thinking and skills

·  Have an external focus and a real passion for Sales / Marketing & Finance

·  Ability to travel regularly to customers

·  Like to bring creativity & innovation to your work

·  Strong understanding on budgets and customer rebate structures.
