Overview of the job
Do you know that the P&G Chemicals organization produces and supplies a significant amount of raw material made from natural sources for use in a number of P&G brands from detergents to hair and beauty care products?
Our scientists are in charge of design and start-up of new process and developing technical improvements for our current plants. Chemical and mechanical processes including multiphase fluids, catalytic reactions, and separation technologies (e.g distillation, absorption, filtration) are part of this dynamic team’s work.

Your Chemical Engineering skill and training will be key in developing our future capabilities. You will support the design, execution and startup of new processes for current manufacturing operation in Asia and Europe. You will use the latest modelling and simulation technology for real life production facility, support existing operation via trouble shooting tough technical issues, recommend and implement solutions including startup.

Your team
Located at the P&G Singapore Innovation Center, you will be part of the process development team supporting Asia and Europe. You will have the opportunity to work in multi-functional teams and engage with both internal and external partners.

How success looks like
Over time, you will be a P&G Chemical specialist and will have the opportunity to explore many other functions and business units across the vast P&G R&D family.

You will also effectively lead all aspects of the R&D process development and research activities with local and regional technical driven companies and universities to deliver our business objective.
The expectation of the role also involves partnering and influencing our global R&D team members as well as the Product Supply organization.

Key Responsibilities
•Understand and provide technical support for operations at the plants
•Technical trouble shooting and optimization of the process and lead product & process development studies in the labs and plants
•Partner with technologists and other companies to develop and test out prototypes

Qualifications

•PhD degree in Science, Engineering or related fields.
•Chemical Engineering education or work experience will be an advantage
•Strong ownership & self-leadership skills to understand the business objective, local context and business landscape to deliver the required outcomes.
•Effective oral and written communication skills
•Able to work independently, prioritize and perform in a fast-paced environment.
•Excellent problem-solving skills and uses data to connect multiple ideas and develop solutions.
•Strong interpersonal and communication skills to connect with people from different cultures and levels, both internally and externally.
