We employ nearly 7,000 Research & Development (R&D) employees in 11 countries around the globe. We have state-of-the-art innovation centers and more depth and breadth in science and technology resources than any consumer products company in the world, resulting in over 55,000 patents and applications globally. Our science, Scientists, Engineers, and Researchers consistently receive numerous prestigious awards.
Our R&D organization is looking to fill a number of Researcher Internships that will be located in one of our innovation centers located in the United States. In these positions, you may have the opportunity to work in any of the following technical fields:
Analytical Researchers conduct chemical, biological, and physical tests of new and/or improved technologies or products using state-of-the-art analytical instrumentation. Researchers in this field develop and validate new analytical or physical measurement methods for products and package design and statistically evaluate and report data.
Product Researchers perform work focused at the consumer/product interface. They develop a clear understanding of consumer product needs and convert those needs into technical product specifications, package design, and predictive methods. These researchers design and carry out consumer research studies, identify target consumer, establish performance criteria at the right value, and translate consumer feedback into new and/or improved product ideas, formulations, claims, and demos.
Packaging Researchers develop innovative, technically sophisticated packaging, materials and design. They develop cost effective packages and delivery systems that improve performance, stability, and usability of our products, while supporting the environment. These researchers leverage material and design work to develop superior packaging for new and/or existing products.
Formulation Researchers develop chemical and mechanical processes required for formulation and manufacturing of consumer products and industrial intermediates. Work includes experimental design, characterization of raw materials, and working with suppliers. They design formulations in laboratory and pilot plants, leading to scale-up at manufacturing plants.
Process Researchers convert ideas, concepts, and technologies into commercially feasible processes. They execute tests to generate process and material learnings to support product development on test stands, and full scale equipment. These researchers perform very hands on roles which include mechanical construction and re-configuration of flexible platform based equipment and maintenance and repair.
Biology Researchers use a variety of research and development applications in the discovery of new products; assay and model development; efficacy testing; and product evaluations. These researchers specialize in tissue culture, recombinant DNA, biology, microbiology, toxicology, clinical design and monitoring, and immunoassay techniques.
