PhD Intern - Surfactant and Colloid Science-Hair Care

Consumer Hair Care unmet needs continues to evolve in the hair damage repair space. We are seeking a highly motivated PhD Candidate to join the Hair Care Strategic Technology Platform team, located in Mason, OH, as a PhD Summer Intern. The PhD Intern will work in close collaboration with multifunctional project teams and lead upstream innovation programs to study phase chemistry in shampoo formulation with the objective of delivering conditioning active to the hair during wash. This will be important to understand fundamental mechanisms, generate new insights, and develop R&D solutions that deliver superior benefits in our Hair Care shampoo products (e.g. Pantene, Head & Shoulders, Herbal Essences, etc.).  These insights will have a meaningful influence on our business strategy and will enable our products to win with consumers and deliver sustainable results for our Company

Job Qualifications

We are looking for a Ph.D. candidate in a STEM field.

·  Publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals
·  Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
·  Passionate about the hands-on experiment work and demonstrate track record of leading innovation
·  Team player and ability to work in a multi-functional organization
·  Expertise in colloid science, surfactant/cationic polymer coacervation, surface science and surface measurements
