We are looking for a PC&IS (Power Controls & Information Systems) Technical Engineer that will be able provide technical leadership in supporting the Fabric Care Site businesses. They must employ their technical mastery along with an understanding of manufacturing process to eliminate losses in our process to provide the consumer with a superior quality to other brands. They will be involved with making/process technologies.

The Lima site is home to Heavy Duty Liquid (HDL), Soluble Unit Dose (SUD), Fabric Softener (LFE) and Perfumes business.  The Lima site is the biggest production site in P&G and continues to expand with bringing Beads Business to the site.  Lima is a highly automated production site, and we continue to leverage robotic technology to drive productivity. 

The PC&IS Technical Engineer is a key enabler in leading and delivering results against the challenges with all this technology.

Important Responsibilities:

PC&IS leadership of on-going business, savings projects, and key initiatives. Developing technical PC&IS solutions that address evolving business needs. Applying Loss elimination methodology to improve the process and develop new improvement areas. Managing PC&IS Technicians priorities and build capability to become experts in their technologies.  Manage obsolescence and develop masterplan for continues improvement and strategies to meet P&G PC&IS Safety/Platform Standards. Contribute both in Lima and network with Cincinnati to build technical capability and to ensure initiative success.

Need for Cybersecurity and Data Mining resources continues to increase. This role also has opportunities in the field of Cyber Security and Data Analysis. Establishing new strategies on connectivity of equipment and leveraging existing data within Alexandria and external systems such as Team Center (Spider), Enovia, SAP, Data Lakes, and other internally based applications.

As this platform is new to the world, some additional key responsibilities include leadership, team collaboration, communication, innovation and documentation skills. Our Engineering, R&D, Commercial, and Operations teams will continue to work closely together to help ensure success of this new platform.

Job Qualifications

REQUIRED

·  BS/MS Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Systems, or Technology
·  Strong leadership, business problem definition, and priority setting skills.
·  An aptitude for communicating insights and collaborating across teams/organizations.

Job Qualification 1

Technical mastery in PC&IS technologies, including Continuous Process Control, Instruments, Control Logix PLCs, Wonderware, Motion Control, Vision Systems, Networks, Drives, Sensors, Server Technologies, and Global, Regional and Local Electrical Design Codes that govern applicable equipment and installation practices. Experience with the P&G Electrical Specification, Programming standards including OPERA, Universal Pack, and PackML, U3M, UPack are a plus.

Job Qualification 2

Experience in application of EWP, CQV, GSUM, RE and other Engineering IM/IWS standard work processes. Proven capability to manage projects, assess staffing requirements, develop and communicate staffing plans with recommended options. Ability to develop Best Value Options Analysis, lead group discussions and drive to conclusion. Communicate effectively with Leadership to explain the recommended strategies and when required, develop and communicate plans to mitigate risks within a project.

Job Qualification 3

Good leadership, communication, and coaching skills. Ability to set standards, role model, coach, teach, and set technical direction. Provide training and coaching to the Technical Leads on software and hardware infrastructure. Work with Operating Departments through the Technical Leader department leads to develop staffing requirements, training and qualification plans.

Job Qualification 4

Teamwork/ Collaboration: Ability to work across disciplines and departments to build consensus and align technical directions. Effective communication with people from diverse backgrounds and nationalities is essential. Builds relationships that allow for smooth work. Develops and leverages strategic technology partnerships internally (with the sites and P&G Technical Centers) and externally (academic institutions, vendors)

Job Qualification 5

Ability to identify opportunities to leverage PC&IS technologies to meet the most challenging business needs. Ability to deal with cost and scheduling constraints and understands the differences between Low-Cost Solutions and Total Cost of Ownership and when each is needed. Passion for working with the broader PC&IS site organizations, driving capability within oneself and others.

Job Qualification 6

Understands and follows Safe Work practices for electrical systems and mechanical equipment. Understands the risks associated with manufacturing environment and can define safe work systems and equipment with particular focus on AMEC, Lock Out/Tag Out procedures, and code requirements.

Starting Pay / Salary Range:   $85-$115K

Compensation for roles at P&G varies depending on a wide array of non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, degree/credentials, relevant skill set, and level of relevant experience.
