We are seeking a highly motivated leader who will make a difference if the life of others by improving the life of customers through the innovative products offered at Procter & Gamble. In this role you will provide Engineering leadership and support to Procter and Gamble (P&G) site via technical mastery and site-specific coaching. This role is key to keeping P&G as the top producer of consumer goods in the world. The successful individual will be flexible with their working capability to meet P&G expectations, lead various action plan focus items, and implement innovative programs.

Guides and influences technical project direction and solves significant technical problems by leveraging scientific/engineering skills and strong foundational process understanding developed through hands-on experimentation/application. Performs application work and demonstrates implementation skills leveraging knowledge that moves projects forward. Gains exposure to and demonstrates initial proficiency in performing integration work.

Job Qualifications

The focus of this work is the fundamental understanding of particle processing, including particle formation, powder flow & handling, and powder stability. Typical projects will involve experimental work and modeling to address current business issues and in anticipation of future needs.

The successful candidate for this position will have a strong background in powder mechanics and flow theory and experimental methods. In addition, leadership, innovative and critical thinking, strong communication skills and the ability to work with multidisciplinary, multifunctional and multinational teams are all critical to long term success. Emphasis is placed on process engineering and the links among formulation, processing and the resulting product attributes which deliver the consumer experience. You are also expected to establish strong external connection with academia and other experts around the world.

The candidate must have or is about to obtain a PhD degree in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering or a similar discipline, with emphasis on particle formation, powder flow, or a similar area. Additional experience in the following areas is desirable:

·  Experimental powder rheology and materials characterization
·  Discrete-element modeling
·  Continuum powder flow modeling & kinetic theory
·  Machine learning as applied to powder processing challenges
·  Powder manufacturing
·  Spray drying or coating
·  Powder mixing
·  Agglomeration / granulation
·  Milling
·  Extrusion
