Job description

The P & G Manufacturing Co. - St. Louis Site is seeking to fill a full time Occupational Health Nurse position. This role reports to the HR Manager. This person will lead site Health Systems, Key Element capability, and deliver health services to the employees of the St. Louis Site. The St. Louis Site is a two nurse site at this time. This Nurse role will involve ongoing execution of key Health Services work systems for the site and for preserving and optimizing the health and wellbeing of approximately 390 employees in a 24 hour, 7 day manufacturing operation. The health services program must be in alignment with the key government and corporate medical priorities as well as site-specific goals and objectives.

Responsibilities include: the provision of services to meet federal, state, and local regulatory requirements; delivery of emergency care and coordination of on-site medical response team; and delivery of medical surveillance programs. This person will plan, organize and execute the work priorities and responsibilities while working effectively with key business partners to deliver health systems capability. System ownership responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following: Workers Compensation, Disability, Wellness/Vibrant Living, Ergonomics, EAP Referrals, FMLA medical certification, ADA, HIPAA, Confidentiality, Health Care Cost Containment, and Medical Case Management.

This person will work collaboratively with HR, HS&E, Risk, Leadership, and other team members/employees to efficiently meet business objectives, manage costs and provide prompt, competent occupational health nursing care.

Preferred minimum of (2) two years of occupational health experience or (3) three years of experience in critical care or emergency services.

Other valued skills include:

· Well briefed in the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) while providing skilled occupational nurse functions.
· Maintain confidentiality of all medical information and patient/employee rights.
· Perform administrative and task work duties to deliver operational excellence in all health systems.
· Provide programs that deliver site specific health and safety goals.
· Optimize employee health and well-being by providing health educational tools, lifestyle health counseling and health promotion initiatives.
· Certifications in National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) approved spirometry desired.
· Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation (CAOHC) desired.
· Must be able to work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment and across multiple organizations, both internally and externally.
· Must have strong communication skills, problem solving skills, computer skills, and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications :

Qualified applicants must:

·  Be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing; Baccalaureate degree preferred or in process
·  Have a current RN license in good standing in the State of Missouri
·  Have a current CPR/AED certification
·  Be willing to travel on the job.
