Household Care P&G is working on developing state of the art mathematical models to predict the processing behaviour of complex films and substrates through our manufacturing and integrated pilot plant units. The Modelling & Simulation group at Brussels Innovation Centre is looking for a candidate qualified to PHD level to lead the development and validation of these models. This will involve working as part of a global multi-disciplinary team within one of P&G's major business units as well as with leading academic experts in the field. Corporate and specific job trainings will be provided to accelerate your development.

Job responsibilities:

• Partner effectively with colleagues having diverse technical backgrounds as well as multi-functional, multi-disciplinary teams to deliver critical analytical data, interpretations, and learnings that support and advance innovation programs, current business initiatives and manufacturing operation improvements.

• Strong Oral and written communication skills. Present key learnings to diverse audiences via oral presentations , written reports and posters.

• Excellent collaboration skills. Work collaboratively in a team environment with multidisciplinary, multifunctional and global colleagues.

• Leadership skills. Set technical leadership and vision for current and future programs

• Develop and grow innovative capabilities in the areas of film /substrate handling and converting and applications that provide value to P&G. Bring novel tools and capabilities in-house and/or find ways to tap in to external capabilities, tools and expertise to advance innovation programs.

• Agility – Independent, self-motivated and a ‘can-do' attitude. Ability to work on multiple projects/tasks at any given time, and adapt to changing priorities.

Desired profile

Skills required:

We welcome applications from qualified students with a PHD in material, chemical, civil, mechanical and environmental engineering, physics or related subjects. In addition the candidate must have specific Experience in Finite Element Analysis in the field of Structural Mechanics, This includes being familiar with Abaqus® and with 3D CAD programs such as Solidworks®. Experience with Film and Substrate Processing and Modelling applications is desirable, but not essential.
