The Procter & Gamble Dover Wipes Plant manufactures Pampers & LUVS brands of Baby Wipes for North America and is looking for Plant Technicians to work in our plant and make a positive contribution to the Company's success.
Our products serve infants and increasingly other demographics. Dover is home to a variety of cultural activities and
communities within the community and is conveniently close to beaches/water sports, metropolitan areas like Washington D.C., Wilmington, Philadelphia, New York City, but far enough away to enjoy the less hectic lifestyle of a smaller community. We are also home to one of Nascar's Premier Race Tracks.
Plant technicians are hired at entry level as members of a work team. Technician work teams are responsible for keeping production flowing, for meeting performance goals and for maintaining the high level of quality that consumers expect from our products.
Technicians do various types of work, including running high-speed converting and packing equipment, controlling the process from a computer terminal, and performing preventive maintenance on equipment. Technicians are expected to get involved, take charge of situations and confront business-related problems.

In order to perform the work described above in our manufacturing atmosphere, plant technicians use basic hand and power tools; lift 50 pounds by bending and stooping; climb, stand, and move around on stairs, ladders and platforms; twist, turn and bend; enter confined spaces; and stand on concrete floors for an extended period of time. Further,
technicians have and are able to display skills in manufacturing processes, including operating, maintaining and cleaning automated equipment; maintaining accurate records and data; strong technical, interpersonal and problem-solving skills; and knowledge of computers. Additionally, the safety of Technicians is of great importance to Procter & Gamble. Technicians will be required to wear appropriate safety equipment, such as safety shoes, ear protection, and eye protection.
The Dover Procter & Gamble Plant operates 7-days per week. Technicians work any day of the week, including weekends. Work on weekends may be as overtime or as part of the Technician's normal schedule. Changes in business volume and production requirements can cause the plant to occasionally change the length of work shifts or the rotation schedule. The hours of work vary from 8 to 12 hours per day. Shift rotations vary from working a single straight shift to working a rapid rotation schedule (rotating shifts and rotating workdays). Technicians must be willing to rotate and to work any shift, including working a 12 hour rapid rotation schedule. Additional days could be required to be worked as overtime.
