Job description

NOTE: Due to P&G's announcement of its intention to divest the CoverGirl business to Coty, this role is specific to the CoverGirl business. Successful candidates will be part of the CoverGirl team. Upon the anticipated closing, it is expected that successful candidates will transfer with the CoverGirl business, together with other employees supporting CoverGirl.

The Technology Leader (TL) creates technical solutions that drive step change improvements in supply chain cost, quality and responsiveness. Specifically, TL works on Packaging materials and related supply chain process to improve manufacturing and product supply results. In this role the Technology Leader develops a strong understanding of packaging material technologies and supplier processes.

Important Responsibilities of the Job :

· 
Leverage technical mastery, leadership, problem solving and communication skills to: (1) perform focused improvement work that improves material cost, quality, time and service; and/or (2) design and deliver product initiatives that meet success criteria.

· 
Own and continuously improve work processes.

· 
Work across organization boundaries to implement changes and improve supply chain capability.

· 
Effectively serve as single point of contact for Material, Process and Delivery (MPD) work on business teams.

· 
Lead material changes from design through qualification within a material technology using Project Management methodology and the Change Management process.

· 
Qualify material conversions and develop specifications in Corporate Standards System (CSS).

· 
Lead Experimental Orders (EO) as part of material qualifications and improvements.

· 
Work on material quality issues with supplier & manufacturing.

· 
Develop technical expertise in assigned material technology. Lead team results in monthly reviews.

· 
Develop or simplify existing processes to improve business results. Reapply learnings at Hunt Valley Cosmetics as well as across Beauty divisions.

· 
Develop capability in suppliers as a means of eliminating losses and supporting Better & Cheaper & Faster materials.

· 
Identify and lead changes to maintain and improve results in the areas of material supply and initiative design & delivery.

Required Skills :

·

On material issues, work with manufacturing, suppliers, planning and logistic leader to develop a plan that helps the team to make informed and timely decisions. Experience in solving material and material/equipment interface issues is helpful.

Material technical, packaging line, and/or processing experience and knowledge is required. Proficiency with computers and ability to use Microsoft Office. Use of SAP, Microsoft Project, statistics and SPC, and other software systems is desirable.

Desired profile

· 
;Minimum 5 years Experience in one or more areas of Manufacturing, Packaging equipment operation, maintenance, and design, and/ or Packaging material specification development.

· 
;Knowledge of Quality Assurance Principles and Practices is a Plus.
