Counsel – Global Privacy & Digital Law, The Procter & Gamble Company

P&G is seeking a talented and experienced attorney to join the Global Privacy & Digital Law team in its Legal organization. The position is located in P&G's corporate headquarters in Cincinnati, Ohio.

The Global Privacy & Digital Law team offers opportunities to work collaboratively with other members of the team in evaluating, improving, designing and implementing existing or new privacy and digital law compliance programs as well as opportunities for front-line responsibility to advise and counsel the business on legal strategy and compliance with existing and emerging digital, information security and privacy laws. Members of the team partner directly with business clients to solve problems creatively and to understand their business processes and needs to influence the effective design and/or optimization of compliance and risk mitigation programs for the company. The role will require a deep understanding of the evolving privacy and information security regulatory environment to ensure that applicable regulatory changes are seamlessly addressed within existing P&G programs and to lead and assist incident management issues with calm efficiency to mitigate potential harms for stakeholders and the company. Strong cross-team, global collaboration and coordination with both business clients and legal colleagues is a must.

The opportunity exists for the selected attorney to rotate to one of P&G's multibillion dollar Global Business Units or other specialty practice groups, such as Labor & Employment, Global Transactions, Corporate, Securities & Employee Benefits Law, Antitrust, Litigation, or Environmental, after a number of years in the Global Privacy & Digital Law team.

Desired profile

A candidate must have:
· Approximately 2-5 years of experience with a law firm, in-house or other legal department. Experience with digital law, cyber security law, privacy law and/or with in-house compliance systems is a plus, but is not required.
· A J.D. with outstanding academic performance, with moot court, law review or judicial clerkships preferred.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and very strong problem-solving skills
· Track record of success in professional and personal activities.
· Proven leadership ability as well as the ability to work as a member of a team, both with business clients and within the Legal organization.
· Membership in at least one state bar, with the ability to become a member of the Ohio bar within the first year of employment.
