P&G is seeking a well-rounded, experienced, and inspired attorneywith leadership skills, vision, and energyto join its legal organization. The position is located in P&G’s Canadian headquarters in Toronto, Ontario, with an anticipated start date in November 2019.

As a member of the Canada Legal team, you will:

· Advise on Canadian legal issues in a broad array of key practice areas, including advertising, digital & privacy, competition / antitrust, litigation, labor & employment, and employee benefits and pensions.

· Identify and educate clients and colleagues on emerging legal trends and developing areas of the law in Canada.

· Closely collaborate with clients across all areas of the business to solve problems creatively and determine how best to manage the client’s legal needs in critically important, and in some cases challenging and rapidly evolving, legal spaces.

The role of P&G Legal Counsel requires strong coordination, collaboration and partnership and coordination with clients and colleagues from Marketing, Sales, Consumer & Market Knowledge, Human Resources, Regulatory, and External Relations, among others, and other members of the global legal division. Legal mastery, agility, flexibility, and a learning mindset are critical elements of the position.

Qualifications

Requirements, Skills, and Characteristics of a Successful P&G Legal Candidate:

· A JD or LLB with strong academic credentials.

· Called to the Ontario Bar, and in good standing.

· Candidates with one to three years of post-call experience with a law firm, government, or other in-house legal department in Canada.

· Experience in multiple practice areas is preferred.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Strong problem-solving skills.

· Versatile, and able to pivot seamlessly and effectively across a variety of matters and topics.

· Proactively develops and maintains relationships to facilitate a dynamic multi-functional and multi-national team environment.

· Detail-oriented, while operating with a sense of urgency, especially on projects with sensitive timing requirements.

· Proven leadership and the demonstrated enthusiasm to work as a member of a team, both with business clients and legal colleagues.
