Overview of the job

The role intends to hire an experience person in the field of international trade operations. The candidate having experience in handling Logistics, Customs operations, Freight Forwarder operations, Shipping line operations or anything related to these will be preferred.

The overall job is to ensure timely imports of RPM and finished goods and documentation handling regarding these imports.

This also consists of controlling the E2E cost, meeting the compliance requirements, coordinating with multiple teams (external business partners and internal to P&G) and handling the team members.

Your team

This role reports to India International Trade Operations Leader. The India International trade operations team comprised of 10 Employees and is one of the largest team in the SNO. The team consists of varying experiences – starting from 2 years to 15 years.

How success looks like -

Functional performance  – Timeliness and accuracy of clearances of the shipments. E2E time taken for the shipments to be cleared.

Revenue and profits  – Controlling and Supervising E2E logistics cost and generating and delivering ideas to reduce the costs.

Time-based performance  – Team members management so that updates will be shared with them timely.

Collaboration –  Working in a diversified team and to ensure the company results and teams results are taken a priority than individual results.

Employee growth  – Capability building for self and team to learn and grow in the organization.

Responsibilities of the role :

India import shipment Management & Execution for imports from various countries -

·  Be involved in the planning & execution of import shipments from multiple countries to India via sea and air.
·  Have strong understanding of Export-Import operations and systems to be able to implement the dispatches in system as and when needed.
·  Monitor the execution by Contractor resources.
·  Maintain dispatch timelines & business continuity in an uncertain business scenario.

Controls & compliance for import shipments –

·  Engage with region to retain controls requirements with regular reporting activities
·  Take part and drive audits (CSA, CDA)
·  critical metric reviews of vendors
·  External compliance requirements need to be monitored and executed from various countries through accurate documentation etc

Payments and controls process -

·  Ensure no payment s disruptions to vendors performing imports
·  Update activities in P&G systems -TMS and SAP to ensure shipments and payments are completed time.

Identify & Undertake cost saving projects –

·  Identify the cost opportunities in the import process by monitoring the E2E activities and execute those projects for providing cost savings to business.

Communication and coordination:

·  Set up regular drumbeats with multiple collaborators to ensure work on track
·  Coordinate with multiple teams (across geographies) to ensure no business disruptions and compliance outages

Job Qualifications

·  Should have experience in the logistics/ Export/Import sector/ Customs operations/ Freight forwarders/ Shipping lines etc from similar or related industries (min 2 years experience)
·  Candidate should have excellent knowledge of Microsoft office, excel reports etc Knowledge in custom clearance process/ Export/ Import process will be an added advantage Should have good written & oral communication skills SAP knowledge will be an added advantage.
