Overview of the Job
As an Indirect Tax Manager, you will handle P&G India Group’s indirect tax responsibilities according to India Tax Directors’ mentorship. You will also be responsible for Indirect taxes, especially GST technical positions, handle indirect tax compliances and reporting, find opportunities, lead and prioritize Indirect Tax Group and other Company resources leading audits, handling and supervising tax litigation matters, advising business partners. You will be working closely with Tax Compliance Organization, Treasury, Corporate Finance teams within the Company. Your team:
This role reports to P&G India Tax Director, while being accountable to multi-functional customers for getting results, these teams develop close collaboration and value different perspectives, with a focus on achieving collective success through individual contributions.
What success looks like
· You will be achieving the business's most important metrics
· Develop further effective and well controlled indirect tax
· Influence and lead business partners; build organizational technical competence
· Supporting the business from tax technical angles in their strategies and initiatives.
· Further development of internal tax compliance and reporting processes on need basis, see opportunities, and initiate applying technology enabled solutions in close partnership with the business and tax compliance organization
Responsibilities of the role
· Advising business on indirect tax implications on various transactions
· Finding opportunities in indirect tax reporting and compliance
· Making recommendations on sophisticated transactions from indirect tax technical, compliance and reporting standpoint
· Leading indirect tax audits and litigations in a professional and compliant manner.
· Resolve indirect tax opportunities, lead related initiative, engagement and implementation process
· Ensure in timely and quality indirect tax reporting, and timely payment of indirect taxes, as well as effective utilization of tax credits
Job Qualifications
· Chartered Accountant with demonstrated ability in Indirect taxes with a passionate knowledge and proficiency in India indirect taxes.
· Work experience in a multinational company or in tax advisory sector is advantage, as well as international tax knowledge/experience.
· Effective communication and social skills.
· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, leadership, and a strong affinity in tax and accounting proficiencies.
· You can make hard decisions using all the information you have, but also confident enough to go with your gut.
· Being a teammate and being able to collaborate well with other functions as OneTeam.
· Ability to initiate, own and lead projects, and implement assignments in tight timelines, taking end to end accountability.
