Job description

Is a recognized expert in Analytical and/or knowledge area. Independently and consistently applies knowledge to develop technical strategy, analytical approaches, and resourcing plans to holistically address program needs through project interactions and in-lab efforts. Proactively works with project partners using their mastery of product chemistry to define program needs, both within and outside the analytical box, to co-create solutions. Thinks holistically about programs and contributes analytical and project insights that help move programs forward on some of the toughest problems. Often anticipates program needs and able to identify unarticulated problem areas to make unexpected highly valued contributions, integrates data into knowledge, and able to drive ideas to action. Has a track record of capability (instrumentation and knowledge) expertise and develops capabilities of others.

We have an opening for a Senior Scientist at our Mason, Ohio site to use brand new analytical technology and deliver practical solutions to tough challenges across the Personal Health Care business—including leadership in one of the following areas:

· 
Leadership of stability science supporting one or multiple categories:

· 
Respiratory (Cough, Cold, Flu)

· 
Oral Care

· 
Digestive Wellness

· 
Vitamins, minerals, supplements

· 
Sleep

· 
End to end (from product concept through on-shelf lifecycle management) analytical leadership of P&G’s drug product portfolio:

· 
Pepto Bismol

· 
Vicks

· 
Crest

· 
Rolaids

This staff member will also lead one or more aspects of measurement and stability science capability development within the Personal Health Care Analytical Chemistry organization. 

Experience in developing GxP methods and developing FDA regulated products is a plus.

The selected candidates will also apply deep technical mastery and strong communication skills to shape testing standards both inside the Company and externally. Other qualifications relevant for the position are: good collaboration skills, experience in establishing and maintaining working relationships and independent/agile learning with excellent organization skills.

This employee will report to the North America Personal Health Care Director who is based at the P&G Mason Business Center. Overall, you will be part of the Analytical Chemistry Department at this location. There is plenty of help, support, coaching and training available from colleagues, with formal training being tailored to your needs and interest.

Job Qualifications

· 
MS or PhD in chemistry or applicable field

· 
Experience in Stability Science (i.e. supporting product design through creating experimental plans/protocols to address product stability concerns); OR

· 
Experience leading strategies for API analysis and/or product characterization

· 
Experience in an FDA or TUV regulated environment preferred
