The Global Safety Surveillance and Analysis (GSSA) summer intern will work on a project moving R programs or Shiny apps from the current server to R Studio Connect server. The work includes but not limited to: work with data analysts to upgrade the existing programs or apps with required enhancements during moving; explore and research R Studio Connect for the best use of maintaining the uploaded programs or apps.

Qualifications

If you want to join us, you will need:

·  To be working towards a BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics, Statistics, and related degree programs.
·  Overall G.P.A. of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale

Requirements (skills / experiences) for the role:

Required:

·  R programming and R Shiny and Markdown are a plus

Preferred:

·  Ability to communicate with non-programmers
·  Ability to use Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
