Job description

External Supply Support (ESS) MPD (tech. pack) packaging Leader based in Brussels Innovation Center. The leader is responsible for outsourcing identified productions, setting up and managing the contractors to ensure quality productions are carried out at non-P&G plants in EMEA region.

ESS is a PS Organization which currently manages over 25 contractors (none P&G contract production sites in Europe ) and the department is involved in a great variety of product executions ranging from liquid and powder filling , air fresheners candles, dishwasher additives and sampling executions. Production at contractors is far from static we drive the business as one collaborative team.

The MPD Packaging Leader is working together with the QA , Pack dev , and other teams. The MPD packaging leader will have to set up the tech pack database to be able to produce the new product according the P&G standards and to be able to set up the whole supply chain ( from pack mat suppliers to the contractor till the P&G warehouses).

Desired profile

LEADERSHIP. To be the Single point of contact (spoc) for all pack. mat. aspects of a CM, requires strong leadership skills .

COMMUNICATION. CMs do not operate with standard P&G systems and processes, and often have English as a second language. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to ensure P&G results & initiatives are delivered to target are essential.

COLLABORATIVE & PROACTIVE: the candidate needs to be able to work both within P&G as well as with contractors & suppliers outside P&G, across diverse functional groups (PS, R&D, Engineering, Purchasing, Marketing).

MASTERY. Familiarity with plant operations and Planning is desirable.

She/he will become the spoc for several contractors. This includes practical setup of all spec and standards in tech database for the all new packaging materials. She /he will have to map all the different packaging processes at the different locations. P&G apply the same QA requirements to the contractors as to a normal P&G plant. During the day to day business the spoc will help the contractor to deliver the finished product in time and within the right specifications.

The spoc will also be the `right hand ` form the initiative leaders to start new projects at the contractor. In this role she/he will be responsible for the quality of packaging materials and finished product within her/his technology and/or business area.
