NOTE: Due to P&G's announcement of its intention to divest the Duracell business to Berkshire Hathaway, this role is specific to the Duracell business. Successful candidates will be part of the Duracell team. Upon the anticipated closing, it is expected that successful candidates will transfer with the Duracell business, together with other employees supporting Duracell.

The Duracell Company Global IH&S Leader will be responsible for developing and executing the Company's exposure control program and masterplan. The program and masterplan will include development and issuance of policies and procedures for physical exposure and chemical exposure control and compliance with country (federal), state (province), and local regulatory standards (US, Belgium, China). In addition, the program and masterplan will include clear objectives and performance measures tracked for physical, chemical, and biological exposures below the assigned threshold limit values (TLV).
Responsibilities include:
·Responsible for all biological, physical, and chemical hazard control policies, procedures, and program masterplans.
·Global ownership for HS&E Key Element (K.E.) programs pertaining to Biological Materials, Chemical Management/ Information Systems, Global Harmonized System (GHS), Confined Space Entry, Chemical Exposure Control, Physical Agent Control, Fall Protection, Material Handling, and Ergonomics.
·Train/qualify site level IH/S Programs Leaders in each of the HS&E Key Element programs.
·Manganese Key Ingredient Program (Mn KI) will be administered and maintained by this position including training and qualification for all site Mn KI system owners as identified in the Mn KI Policy.
·Professional IH/S resource to Company Leadership, Engineering, site HS&E Program Leaders, and the Corporate HS&E Team, which includes providing coaching and technical research on complex occupational health and safety topics.
·Development of the Corporate Health, Safety, and Environment monthly and annual report.
Desired profile
·BS degree in a Natural Science or Engineering preferred (Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, Environmental/Health Science, etc.).
·CIH desirable; must be actively pursuing CIH with certification within 2 years
·CSP desirable but not required; willing to pursue certification within 3 years.
·Seeking candidate with experience in Occupational Exposure Control, Hygiene Engineering, and Workplace Safety.
·Minimum 10 years Occupational Exposure Control in the manufacturing sector at site, regional, or corporate role.
·Some travel required.
·A valid driver's license.

Specifically, improve the skills and capability of site HS&E Program Leaders and System Owners. Lead by coaching and training Manufacturing, Engineering, and Research and Development in the innovative concepts of occupational hazard control methods.
