D&A Data Architect

Job description

Are passionate about Data Architecture, Data Modeling and Data Flows. We are looking for an expert who will lead and supply to the data design for an application, solutions and business domain, helping to define how data will flow, be stored and structured. Collaborate with business partners and domain experts to elicit and understand data requirements and relevant principles and standards. Contributes to the creation of architectural principles, standards and best practices as well as database selection and design. Translates data requirements into application, solution and subject area data models and validates these using data profiling methods. Understands and documents the data flow between applications and recommends optimal data flow and storage patterns. Creates and enhances the business glossary, data dictionary and related metadata.

Job Qualifications

Required:

· 
English proficiency and at least a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Computer / Systems / Industrial Engineering, Business / Management Information Systems or Software Development

· 
Strong problem solving skills and self-starter

· 
Effective interpersonal skills, both verbal and written, to get along with partners, capture requirements, and present sophisticated technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Collaboration skills to work optimally as part of a team and engage with multi-functional teams

· 
Foundational knowledge in Data Analysis, Business Analytics, Systems Development and Integration and/or Data Architecture

· 
Database and data warehouse experience

· 
Data engineering experience crafting and developing ETL dataflows

· 
Data modeling, mapping and profiling experience

· 
Proficiency with SQL or similar query language

· 
Willingness to learn and stay updated on emerging technologies, trends, and industry standard processes related to data management and architecture. The ability to adapt to evolving requirements and work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

· 
Office tools (Powerpoint, Excel)

Nice to have:

· 
Data Lake experience

· 
Data modeling tools (ex. Erwin, ER Studio).

· 
Experience NoSQL database technologies and/or Cloud technologies.

· 
Experience developing in a cloud / micro-service based environment with languages such as Python.

· 
Financial management and budgeting

· 
Project management, SCRUM, Agile

· 
Vendor management - ability to build and oversee a plan and work
