Category Manager Roles at P&G

Procter & Gamble is the world's largest consumer goods company. Typically, we recruit at graduate level and then develop and promote managers from within, following a build from within philosophy. This is a unique opportunity to join the sales team as a Category Manager.

Successful candidates will have:

· 2-3 years FMCG category management experience working with a top UK retailer, or experience within FMCG as a buyer working for a leading retailer.
· A proven record of delivering outstanding business results and exceeding targets.
· A clear understanding of how to execute winning plans with key retailers
· Successful examples of leadership in their business or personal life.
· Above all a passion for winning

Overview of the role:
Deliver competitive advantage by driving retailer category growth and contributing to their category strategies while setting up P&G brands to disproportionately win through superior adoption of Shopper Based Design principles and analytical excellence.

-Leverage analytical tools and integrate various data systems to develop
new department and category insights.

- Turn raw data into actionable conclusions to become an indispensable
partner to the customer and to the P&G Account team.

-Provide input into retailer category strategy using Shopper Based Shelf
Principles ie. key shopper insights that ultimately influence the assortment
and merchandising layout at range review.

- Leverage Shopper and Retailer Equity insights to partner with customer to
input into the development of Joint Business Plan.

- Develop ongoing and detailed knowledge base of key customer strategies
and plans through strong customer penetration.

- Influence retailer decisions on P&G categories as an outcome of perceived
objectivity

- Build an impartial, trusting & specialist relationship with the customer's
Trading and Merchandising team relationship in your customer outside of the
commercial relationship, become the first point of call for you customer on
all aspects of category development in-store, act as the ‘white coat' expert on
the category

Compensation:
We pay competitively and for performance. We review our salary ranges each year through benchmarking. Salary increases happen steadily throughout your career and will vary based on your performance progression.
