Your mission
We are seeking for a permanent contract at Toulouse (Oncopole, 31) a talented and highly motivated Research Manager - Target Identification & Validation to join our oncology group to manage a small team of laboratory Research Associates and implement necessary modern technics in the fields of functional genomics, molecular and cell biology. You will drive scientific excellence and competitiveness of the Target Identification and validation group.
· Apply cutting-edge techniques in functional genomics, molecular biology, and cell biology to identify and validate cancer targets.
· In collaboration with cross-functional project teams, propose, design and implement cell-based models and assays to support target identification and validation including validation of the drugging strategy and mechanism of action (MoA) studies.
· Propose and evaluate new approaches and technologies to support drug discovery efforts
· Work effectively in collaboration with internal team and external partners (collaboration, CROs)
· Contribute to scientific excellence and competitiveness of the Target Identification and Validation group.
· Lead and manage a team of 4-5 Research Associates, ensuring high-quality research and fostering professional growth in a collaborative work environment.

Who you are ?
Qualification and Experience :
· PhD with post-doctoral experience in oncology; prior experience in drug discovery within pharmaceutical or biotech environments is a strong advantage.
· Demonstrated expertise in cancer biology, molecular biology, and functional genomics, supported by a proven track record of impactful contributions.
· Proven ability to develop and implement innovative technologies to study cancer cell and target biology (drivers, synthetic lethal interactions…)
