Your mission
The Director of Training and Education will oversee the development and execution of training initiatives for the Haircare and Dermatology sales teams, with a focus on equipping the Dermatology sales team to effectively engage with healthcare professionals (HCPs) in their fields. This role is critical to the organization’s success, ensuring that comprehensive training programs are aligned with the company’s goals and product offerings while fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the sales teams.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead the education initiatives for the Dermatology and Haircare teams, ensuring that they are equipped with the knowledge and skills to succeed in their roles.
Essential Functions:
· Develop and implement a comprehensive education strategy for the Haircare and Dermatology sales teams, ensuring alignment with company goals and product offerings.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and brand teams, to create relevant educational content, materials, and resources that enhance sales team effectiveness and align with product strategies and regulatory requirements.
· Oversee the development and execution of training programs, incorporating disease state, treatment, product, and marketplace knowledge, as well as foundational and advanced sales skills.
· Conduct educational assessments to identify training needs, gaps, and opportunities for improvement, ensuring content remains aligned with industry trends and product innovations.
· Manage the creation of tailored training materials and resources that comply with industry regulations, guidelines, and best practices.
· Provide leadership, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to the team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
· Evaluate and measure the effectiveness of training programs through course evaluations and compliance metrics, making data-driven adjustments to enhance learning outcomes.
· Train, and manage a high-performing team to support the ongoing development of the sales organization.
· Stay current with industry trends, market developments, and customer preferences to inform training content and delivery strategies.
· Serve as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders to ensure the seamless development and delivery of training programs within budget and timelines.
· Conduct field visits to provide coaching and support to sales team meeting with Dermatology HCPs and Salon Professionals, ensuring successful application of training concepts in real-world settings.
· Prepare regular reports on training program effectiveness and progress for senior management, offering insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
Required Education and Experience:
· Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, education, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
· Proven experience in educational program development and management, preferably within the Haircare, Skincare, or Dermatology industries.
· Strong background in training and education leadership, with a focus on developing effective learning strategies for sales teams.
· Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
· Proficiency in data analysis and reporting to assess program effectiveness and outcomes.
· Ability to adapt training strategies to meet evolving market needs and challenges.
· Experience working in a cross-functional environment and collaborating with multiple stakeholders to achieve training goals.
Work Environment / physical demands / position type and expected hours of work:
· Ability to work autonomously.
· Working weekdays and occasional weekends are expected based on business needs.
· Presentation assisted selling.
· Ability to Lift/Lower/Carry 25-40lbs: Carry signs, boxes, etc.
