Summary:
At Pierre Fabre, we believe data is a strategic asset, and we're seeking a Data Engineer to help unlock its full potential.
In this role, you will design and implement scalable, high-performance data architectures that align with business objectives. You will oversee data platforms, integration, security, and modernization, ensuring efficiency and innovation across the organization. Additionally, you will collaborate with the Head of Data to drive Master Data Management (MDM) frameworks and establish robust data governance practices.
Essential Functions:
Data Platform & Architecture
· Design and implement a scalable, high-performance data architecture aligned with business objectives.
· Integrate disparate data sources into a unified, reliable single source of truth.
· Cascade global strategy locally while pushing the boundaries of the data and tech stack.
· Enable seamless data flow between systems through robust data transformation and integration strategies.
· Modernize legacy data systems to enhance efficiency and drive innovation.
Data Governance & Master Data Management (MDM)
· Collaborate with the Head of Data to develop and implement a comprehensive MDM framework ensuring data integrity and governance.
· Establish and enforce best practices in data governance, working closely with global and regional teams.
Technology & Efficiency
· Drive system performance optimization and cost efficiency across data infrastructure.
· Continuously evaluate emerging technologies, mitigating potential disruptions while capitalizing on new opportunities for innovation.
Collaboration and Thought Leadership:
· Advance a culture of excellence through collaboration, data ownership, and quality standards.
· Collaborate with local and global teams to share and implement best practices.
· Mentor and upskill team members, cultivate a data-driven culture, and ensure the organization leverages its information assets with integrity and strategic insight.
Competencies:
· Deep expertise in data architecture, MDM, analytics platforms, and tools.
· Proven ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
· SQL language coding and Python or other programing languages are a plus.
· Knowledge of PowerBI or Tableau or comparable BI platform is a plus.
· Strong project management skills, managing multiple data sources and deadlines.
· Ability to architect and develop scalable data solutions, staying ahead of industry trends.
· Strong communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
Requirements – Education + Experience:
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business or a related field.
· 1-4 years of experience in IT, Data Engineering, or related fields.
· 1-4 years in data warehousing, ETL/ELT processes, and data modeling.
· 1-4 years of coding experience in SQL, Python, R, or similar languages.
· Experience working with Tableau and BI tools.
· Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Snowflake, Denodo, Amazon Marketing Cloud, GCP)
· Knowledge of data modeling principles, schema design, and dimensional modeling.

Work Environment / physical demands / position type and expected hours of work:
· This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
· This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing is required, which would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
· The normal working hours of the office are from 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Compensation and Benefits:
Salary Range: $90,000 – $115,000
This range represents the base annual full-time salary for all positions within the applicable job grade. The actual salary offer will depend on a range of factors including experience, education, location, and other relevant qualifications. This position is also eligible for a Pierre Fabre bonus, commission, or incentive program in addition to the base pay.
