Position Overview:
The US PR Coordinator supports the Michael Kors Collection category, reporting directly into the US PR Director. This role is responsible for facilitating all earned media, both in print and digital, helping to develop strategy and managing the collection from immediately following the runway show through the duration of the season.
Major Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Requests:
· Support PR Director by facilitating all US editorial sample requests for women’s Michael Kors Collection.
· Maintain strong relationships with editors at all fashion media outlets.
· Consistently update activity log, confirmed credit charts, and the shared Sample Coordination log.
Credits:
· Provide credit details and track all editorial credits, both published and upcoming.
· Oversee an organized and up-to-date editorial archive, confirming receipt and distribution of magazines, and ensuring editorial credits are clipped and stored appropriately.
· Using DMR, run monthly editorial reports and competitive analysis reports.
Sample Inventory & Archiving:
· Assist Stock Manager and Stock coordinator with inventory of PR samples into Fashion GPS, and archival of runway samples at the end of each season.
· Closely manage PR and Sales samples, coordinating schedules across various department needs, ensuring accuracy of inventory.
Michael Kors Collection:
· Work with PR Director to develop pitch projects and feature story ideas for products and initiatives throughout the year, as a way to increase editorial value
· Assist with the production and planning of the fashion show twice a year, and all seasonal Michael Kors and MICHAEL Michael Kors press presentations.
· Assist with seasonal mailings of lookbooks and gifting’s
National Magazines Online:
· Manage accurate and extensive list of all editorial contacts at all media outlets.
· Keep up-to-date list of all the online news, market, celebrity and events sections.
· Explore new opportunities for print, digital and social editorial coverage.
Qualifications:
· Four Year Degree- Bachelors or equivalent
· 1-3 years of experience
· Excellent verbal & written communication skills
· Fashion GPS experience preferred
· Has the ability to problem-solve, be forward thinking and anticipate needs
· Proactive, flexible, and hard working
· Excellent organizational skills
· Must be able to multitask
