Experienced Product Owner Crosschannel Checkout (Backend) (m/f/d)

Job description

Your Tasks

• Responsibility: You are a product owner of a team responsible for the omnichannel checkout backend of our international Webshop, App and Store App.
• Collaboration: In your role you align technical requirements with stakeholders, collaborate closely with all backend product teams (>20) and work as well in close coordination with frontend teams for API user-friendliness and error feedback loops.
• End-to-end checkout flow: You are modelling and optimizing the backend workflow (consuming and transferring among other things identification, shopping cart, delivery time indication, availability, payment, refunds, vouchers/discounts, taxes, etc.) together with the other product teams.
• Product strategy & Team Management: You set up an ambitious roadmap and create features, epics and user stories in the backend area. You drill down complex requirements into shippable deliverables and prioritize the backlog accordingly.
• API design & governance: Together with your team you design stable, scalable REST APIs, define versioning, SLA/SLI definitions, security and compliance requirements.
• Release Management: You are planning go-live dates, create release notes, rollout strategies, handle incident and change management.
• Data & analytics: You define metrics/KPIs and you are responsible for the tracking of checkout performance as well as the comparison with conversion data

Your Profile

• Graduation in Business informatics, Business administration, Informatics (or similar) or comparable qualification
• Several years of experience working in an agile organization as product owner or similar role (familiar with SCRUM/Kanban and tools like JIRA/Confluence)
• Experience working in a scaled product organization preferably in multichannel e-commerce is a plus
• Strong understanding of checkout backend logic and transaction processes
• Strong communication skills, flexibility and comfortable managing multiple topics at the same time
• Impact-oriented and a “Get things done” mentality
• Very good English skills, German is a plus
