Here at Mars Food we are on the lookout for our next Quality & Food Safety (Q&FS) Technologist. This role will see you lead the multidisciplinary HACCP Team and the HACCP-based Food Safety Management program for the site to ensure that all products manufactured at the Wyong facility are safe and consistently meet the expectations of our consumers. You will ensure robust Q&FS programs are developed, implemented, maintained and verified to achieve a high standard of quality & food safety performance.
What are we looking for?
· Degree qualified in Food Science/Nutrition or equivalent in technical trade (technology or Engineering);
· Previous experience working within a food manufacturing environment;
· Knowledge in GFSI benchmarked standards (e.g. FSSC 22000) & ability to interpret standards;
· Experience in auditing Quality Management Systems;
· Knowledge and experience working with HACCP and supportive programs;
· Knowledge and experience in Good Manufacturing Practices and Quality Management Processes.
What would be your key responsibilities?
· Development and management of the HACCP-based Food Safety Program to effectively control food safety risks and achieve compliance to all applicable internal and external Q&FS standards;
· Design, leadership and continuous improvement of Q&FS processes including risk assessments, corrective & preventive actions, gap analysis, verification activities and competencies;
· Development of tools, systems, processes, and training material to ensure successful implementation of robust quality food safety systems and improving existing programs;
· Liaise with all departments including the factory to ensure food safety and quality issues are addressed within agreed timeframes;
· Working with the Supply and R&D team to ensure GMP and other Q&FS standards are met and exceeded on site.
